Kami and Brady had their wedding at Verandas in Manhattan Beach, which is an adorable venue, and they made it even cuter by having Kami’s dog there to share in the festivities. Verandas is a great all-in-one venue, with its own space for getting ready, a sweet garden for ceremonies, and a great two-story house for reception dinner and dancing.

Kami and Brady are one of those couples that you just know belong together as soon as you meet them. Thank you so much for sharing your special day with me!

I met Mallory and Gary at the Los Angeles Bridal Expo, where they were the winners of my free engagement session giveaway. We had a fantastic time at their engagement session at Griffith Park, and then again at their wedding. I am so happy they won the session, and that I was able to be their photographer. They are both such beautiful people, and it was an honor to be there.

Favorite moments from the bride and groom:

Mallory’s:
1. After making my way down the aisle, taking Gary’s arm and looking into his eye knowing how much love I have for him and how much he has for me was awesome. At that moment, there was nowhere else I wanted to be then right there by his side.

2. Standing by the reception entrance waiting to be called in was my second favorite moment. From our angle of view, we could see, feel and hear all the love and support of our friends and family.

Gary’s:
Walking into the reception hall and looking around at all the familiar faces. Everyone had taken the time to celebrate a momentous occasion with Mallory and I. We were blessed to have all of our friends and family under one roof. And I realized they were all there, for us.

Jenny envisioned a classy yet rustic outdoor wedding, with plenty of handmade details. She and her amazing groom, Adam, made many of the details themselves, based on Pinterest ideas. They chose Calamigos Ranch as their wedding and reception location, which provided us with the opportunity to shoot on a vintage carousel, outside a log cabin, and in front of an old barn. One of my all-time favorite wedding moments was during Jenny and Adam’s reception, when Adam set up a keyboard and played a surprise slow, romantic rendition of “I Melt With You” to Jenny, who was in tears throughout the entire song.
Jenny’s dress is handmade, and their cake is gluten-free. They even had gluten-free beer brewed by a member of their wedding party.

All other craft items you saw at the wedding were made by Jenny, Adam and his loving sister and father.

After Morgan and Jake’s engagement session being rescheduled a few times due to LA winter rain, we finally set a date that turned out to be beautiful. We met at Malibu State Creek Park, which is one of my new favorite spots. It features a ton of completely different looking areas, all within a few minutes of walking distance to each other. Like most couples, Morgan and Jake were a bit nervous at the beginning, but Jake broke the ice by almost immediately falling in the water. After we all stopped laughing, they were relaxed and ready to have a great time.

Morgan and Jake had also had Jake’s dad make a large frame and wanted to get some photos on the beach with it. After we finished exploring the park, we headed down to Point Dume for a few shots just before dark.

I had such a great time working with you both, and can’t wait until the wedding! See you soon!

Jonathan and Chiachi had a beautiful winter wedding at Orcutt Ranch. Orcutt Ranch is right here in the Los Angeles area, but feels like a rural ranch, and has some really amazing spots for photos including gardens and bamboo and orange groves. Jonathan and Chiachi happen to be the only couple I have photographed to found a way to incorporate their love for Star Wars into their wedding day. Check out their cake toppers!

A week from today, Nina and Jason will be spending their first morning together as husband and wife!
We shot their engagement photos last weekend in downtown L.A., and had a great time. We decided to follow the LA Conservancy walking tour of historic downtown, and we found so many awesome spots.

Yogi and Sasaneh held their intimate wedding at Bugatta Restaurant on Melrose. Bugatta used to be the Bungalow Club, and has a really nice set-up with private “bungalow” booths in the main room. Upstairs, we were able to get some romantic shots in the darkened bar, which was awesome and really different from the locations at most weddings. Not only that, but we also got to shoot through actual fire to show just how hot they are.

Yogi and Sasaneh are one of those couples that just exude that being-in-love aura, and are the type of couple that makes me really love my job. Congratulations to you both!
