I always love shooting at new venues, since it’s so much fun to explore a new place. Olivia and Justin chose to hold their wedding in Camarillo, and I have to say that McCormick Ranch is officially my new favorite venue.
The location has these cute guesthouses where the wedding party is able to get ready, which made the pre-ceremony shots extra special.
Olivia’s gown was a rental from One Night Affair. Not only did she have a gorgeous dress, but we didn’t even have to worry about getting it dirty, and so we were able to take full advantage of the grounds.
I loved the old ranch look of the guesthouses and their furnishings.
Justin and his guys had grown these mustaches so that they could take some silly shots with them before shaving them off for the ceremony.
Outside the guesthouses were gardens where Justin saw Olivia for the first time in her wedding garb.
After spending some time taking group shots around the ranch, we headed to the nearby Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for the wedding ceremony.
During the rehearsal, the wedding party had spontaneously made a tunnel for the bride and groom to run through after the ceremony. They had so much fun with it that they decided to exit the actual ceremony in the same way.
Olivia and Justin did a really great job of planning out their timeline. We had already taken most of the group shots before the ceremony, and were able to spend almost an hour wandering around the ranch for photos of just the two of them.
I had the pleasure of having Jeanette Sanchez shoot with me again, and this is one of her (always) beautiful shots.
We found this old camping trailer behind one of the barns. Justin decided to carry Olivia over the threshold.
This was possibly the cutest guestbook idea ever.
It started to drizzle a bit as the reception began, but didn’t slow down the party.
Congratulations to you both, and thanks for such an awesome time!
